Upon successful completion of this program, individuals should be able to:

  • Differentiate between products in the market to ensure a client is appropriately advised on which product to select
  • Examine a client’s immediate financial position using a fact find to determine when to introduce a product to the client
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) Act 2009 and how to avoid potential breaches
  • Structure a product to meet a client’s needs and financial position
  • Apply accounting principles
  • Implement the requirements of a responsible manager to work practices

Designations

Individuals who successfully complete the program may apply to the Certified Finance and Mortgage Institute of Australasia (CFMIA) to gain either the ‘Certified Finance Broker’ (CFB) or ‘Certified Finance Consultant’ (CFC) designation. For more information, please contact CFMIA directly.

The assessment tasks for this program are listed below:

• Option to complete one (1) of the two (2) case studies presented in the assignment:
- Case Study A – includes three (3) tasks with short-answer questions
- Case Study B – includes three (3) tasks with short-answer questions and a cash flow analysis.
One (1) Online quizUnsupervised, multiple choice quiz – three (3) attempts

Individuals must complete the online quiz and submit their assignment within twelve (12) weeks of their initial activation date. To successfully complete this program, individuals must demonstrate competency in the assignment, as well as achieve a pass rate of 70% in the online quiz.

Individuals who complete this program will receive a certificate of completion.

Educational Requirements

It’s compulsory individuals have completed the FNS50315 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management to enrol in this program.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) requirements

This course requires you to read comprehensive learner workbooks, complete a range of written assessments, undertake independent research activities and at times engage in online forums and discussions. Furthermore, the delivery mode relies on the extensive use of written communication.

Individuals will receive login details to KapLearn on enrolment. When logging on to KapLearn, individuals are able to access the program topic notes and assessment requirements. Assessments are submitted and completed through KapLearn.
