History of Kaplan

Since 1938, starting as a tutorial school in the basement of Stanley Kaplan’s family home in Brooklyn, Kaplan has championed innovation. By continually responding to student needs and readily adapting to fill gaps in the market, Kaplan changed what was thought possible in education.

This unflagging focus on the individual helped Kaplan grow and grow, and today we are opening doors to educational opportunities around the world, inspiring people from all walks of life to strive for their personal best. We exist to enable students to achieve their educational and career goals through industry-relevant learning that is respected by employers worldwide.

At Kaplan we build futures one success story at a time.

2005

Kaplan entered the Australian market in 2005 with the acquisition of several highly successful and established vocational and higher education businesses. We offer the most current versions of the industry courses formerly delivered by the Securities Institute of Australia (SIA), the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia) and Tribeca.

2005 to present

Kaplan has since invested significantly in those businesses to expand the range of education and consulting services to our corporate clients and our students.
