Assessment
Assessment for ADA1 is as follows:
- ADA1: Exam (Supervised, closed-book, online and multiple-choice)
Kaplan Professional’s exams
Kaplan Professional’s exams are multiple-choice exams, where emphasis is placed on the application of knowledge.
Individuals must attempt their first exam sit within 12 weeks of their enrolment date.
Individuals are entitled to a first sit and two re-sits of an exam. To achieve an overall grade of ‘competent’ in the exam, individuals must achieve the nominated pass mark for each section in the exam. If deemed ‘not yet competent’ for a section, individuals are only required to attempt that section in the re-sit.
Individuals can sit their exam while being supervised in their workplace or with online supervision via Zoom at a suitable location.

Entry Requirements
Educational requirements
While there are no formal prerequisites, at least six (6) months’ experience in the derivatives industry prior to enrolling into ADA Level 1 would be beneficial due to the specialist nature of the subject content.
Individuals are required to be aged 18 years or older to enrol in this subject.
Individuals who are in Australia on a student visa are unable to enrol in this subject. If you are in Australia on a visa and wish to enrol, you need to check that you are enrolling in accordance with the study conditions of your visa.
Language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) requirements
This subject requires you to read comprehensive learner workbooks, undertake independent research activities, and at times, engage in online forums and discussions. Furthermore, the delivery mode relies on the extensive use of written communication.

Individuals may enrol in this subject at any time and begin studying immediately on enrolment.
Enrol nowThis subject is delivered online via Kaplan Professional’s learning management system, KapLearn.
Students receive login details to KapLearn on enrolment. When students log on to KapLearn, they can access their subject notes, assessments, additional learning materials and their online tutor.
Students access and submit their assessments through KapLearn.

On completing ADA Level 1, you may then enrol into ADA Level 2.
