Individuals who successfully complete their qualification between SP1 2023 and SP6 2023 will be invited to the ceremonies held in 2024.

Where are they held?

Graduation ceremonies are held in CBD locations across Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Once you receive your official invitation, you can select which city you prefer to attend your ceremony in.

What time is graduation held?

Our graduation ceremonies are held in the evening, allowing graduands who work full-time to attend.

Can I receive my testamur before I graduate?

Yes. Testamurs are sent to all eligible graduates by mail approximately six weeks after a qualification is completed. This means you’ll receive your testamur before graduation. Please ensure you keep your postal address details up-to-date in your Student Portal.

What can I expect at my graduation ceremony?

The ceremony will include official proceedings with a welcome from a member of Kaplan Professional’s executive team, plus addresses from a guest and student speaker.

Each graduand will be officially presented with a congratulatory letter inside a graduation scroll.

The Dux for each qualification and highest performing student for each subject will be presented with an award on the night.

Drinks and canapés will be served at the conclusion of the official proceedings, which also provides our graduands and their guests an opportunity to network.

Will there be a photographer at the ceremony?

Yes, a professional photographer will attend the ceremony and take a photograph of each graduand receiving their graduation scroll on stage. You’ll also have the opportunity to have additional photos with your guests before and after the official proceedings.

Photographs will be available for you to download approximately 48 hours after the graduation ceremony.

How long does it go for?

The evening will run for approximately two hours.

Can I bring family and friends along to the ceremony?

We encourage our graduates to celebrate with friends and family. We invite each graduate to bring up to two guests aged 12 and older.

For graduates that would like to invite one or more child(ren) under 12, they may bring one adult guest and up to three children under 12. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, as guests cannot sit with the graduates during the ceremony.

Due to venue capacity, any requests for additional guests (including children over 12) will be placed on a waitlist. We will inform you approximately two weeks before your ceremony if space becomes available for additional guests.

Can I bring children to the ceremony?

Yes, you are welcome to bring up to three children who are aged 12 or under provided one of your guests is an adult. Children under 12 must have an accompanying adult guest as children will not be able to sit with the graduands while the ceremony is taking place.

Children over 12 can be added to a waitlist for consideration.

Do I need to pay to attend my graduation ceremony?

Graduation is a complimentary event, which is free to attend.

What happens if I can't attend my graduation ceremony?

If you’re unable to attend your city’s graduation ceremony, you’re welcome to attend a ceremony in another city. You’ll be able to make this selection once you receive your official invite. It is not possible to defer attending a graduation in another year.
